Voltaren belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Voltaren serves to relieve pain, also reduces the symptoms of inflammation (swelling) and reduces fever.
Voltaren brings relief from:

• muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, headache, toothache, menstrual pain
• symptoms of a cold and flu (including sore throat and scratches and other accompanying pain) and reduces fever.

Voltaren relieves the symptoms of inflammation, pain and swelling by blocking the synthesis of molecules (prostaglandins) responsible for inflammation, pain and fever. It does not affect the cause of inflammation and fever.
