The medicated shampoo contains ketoconazole, which is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age to treat and prevent skin infections caused by fungi or yeasts. It can be applied to the scalp and larger areas of the chest or face. 

It is used for various skin infections, which you can recognize by:

  • scales on the scalp (dandruff),
  • reddish-brown patches with yellow or white flaky scales usually on the face or chest (seborrheic dermatitis),
  • small, brown or white-colored, irregular spots on the trunk (pityriasis versicolor).
