The medicine is a broad-spectrum antifungal medicine used to treat gynecological vaginitis caused by fungal micro-organisms, fungi and yeasts (especially Candida). In addition, it acts against vaginal infections caused by gram-positive microbes (especially streptococci, staphylococci and Gardnerella vaginalis) and gram-negative microbes (Bacteroides).
Vaginal tablets are intended for six-day treatment. The six-day cycle is suitable for patients who require treatment that continues even after the symptoms have disappeared. It is used for the following symptoms of candidiasis:

• vaginal discharge caused by infection (whitish, lumpy, odorless)
• vaginitis caused by pathogenic fungi or yeast (manifested by itching, burning, redness, swelling and pain in the vagina).

On the doctor's recommendation, the medicine is also used to heal the birth canals in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.
