AMBROSAN 30 mg

Ambrosan® is used to treat acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system, accompanied by increased production of dense bronchial mucus, its difficult transport and expectoration. Examples of such diseases are inflammations of the upper and lower respiratory tract, inflammation of the bronchi, trachea, larynx, sinusitis, rhinitis).
Ambroxol, the medicine in Ambrosan®, increases the secretion of mucus in the airways, the production of a pulmonary surfactant (a substance that covers the inner wall of the lungs) and stimulates the action of the cilia to move the mucus. These effects result in marked liquefaction, better transport and excretion of mucus (mucociliary clearance), thus facilitating expectoration and alleviation
cough.
