DROTAMED 40 mg

The medicine contains the drug drotaverine hydrochloride. It belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics, which are used to relieve smooth muscle spasms.
Used for:

• smooth muscle spasms associated with diseases of the gallbladder and bile ducts, inflammation of the gallbladder and bile ducts often associated with gallstones, inflammation of the tissue around the gallbladder, inflammation of the gallbladder.
• renal and urinary smooth muscle spasms: kidney and urinary stones, inflammation of the renal pelvis, inflammation of the bladder, spasms of the bladder.

It is also used as an adjunct treatment in:

• gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasms: gastric and duodenal ulcers, inflammation of the gastric mucosa, gastrointestinal and cardiac outflows, small or large intestinal inflammation, constipation associated with constipation and flatulence irritability syndrome.
• animal headaches.
• gynecological diseases: painful menstruation.
