Vellafilm (Episil)

Transparent non-traumatic polyurethane film cover with adhesive soft silicone. It is designed to protect the wound and minimize the pain and trauma associated with changing the cover. Soft silicone adheres to dry skin around the wound, but not to the wet wound. The transparent layer allows the wound to be monitored and the material allows moisture to pass through the cover. The package contains 10 pieces measuring 12 x 12 cm.
 

The wound dressing is intended for superficial epithelializing wounds

• used to protect the skin from tissue damage by friction and abrasion
• can be used as a secondary cover to keep the primary layer and the absorbent pad in contact with the wound
• minimizes the pain associated with changing the cover
• transparent dressing allows monitoring of wound condition and primary absorbent dressing, which optimizes the frequency for dressing changes
• suitable for patients with delicate and sensitive skin
