The incidence of lice in the world is permanent, relatively high and has a fluctuating character. Lice are hidden in the hair, especially in the sleeping area, head and ear area. The nits remain on the hair even after the lice hatch, but they are just a cosmetic mistake. A thorough examination of hair (or combing of hair) is used to diagnose infestation, during which we look for nits and lice. Surgery is manifested by itching of the head, which is caused by stabbing of the scalp and sucking of blood.

It has not been proven that baby lice transmit the pathogens of some diseases, but they cause unpleasant itching to their host. The resulting wounds can be secondary to infection. Children's lice are spread mainly in groups such as family, kindergarten, school, boarding school, etc. Lice are transmitted by close contact of children's heads, e.g. when playing, when sleeping several children in one bed, also when using shared combs, towels, brushes, hats, scarves, personal or bed linen. If the lice go from head to dress, it is possible to transfer them to another dress in the locker room.
