Cough in children

An infection develops and the child's body begins to fight it. The first step that needs to be taken is to alleviate the difficulties. We often consider the initial symptoms of a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract to be banal, but it can lead to inflammatory conditions, which may already require antibiotic treatment.

Fighting infection in children is often accompanied by coughing. Dry cough most often occurs at the beginning of the disease. Then it is advisable to reach for medicines to relieve cough. In the wet cough phase, it is advisable to use drugs to promote coughing. If the child is battling an infection and the body temperature exceeds 38,5 ° C, fever medication should be given. A cold bath and cold wraps will also help. At the same time, it is important to administer large amounts of fluids. High body temperature is a signal that you need to consult a doctor.
