The Reishi mushroom - in other words, "Ganoderma Lucidum" or "Ling Zhi", is also called the "Mushroom of Immortality" or the "Mushroom of Eternal Youth". This fungus parasitizes on various, mostly deciduous trees or stems. Its natural occurrence is very rare (there are only 10 fungus on 000 trees), so Reishi was very expensive in the past. At present, it is successfully grown on tree trunks on special farms, where its collection and growth can be controlled, making it available to the general public.

It is exceptional especially for its immuno-stimulating abilities. It is said that if used by a healthy person, it will help him avoid disease. He can lend a helping hand to a sick organism and get him out of the disease a little faster. The fungus also has anti-inflammatory, hypotensive, anti-allergic, anti-viral, anti-cancer and hypolipemic effects.
In Japan and China, it is even approved by the government as a prevention and supportive treatment for cancer
