Ibalgin® Duo Effect

Ibalgin contains the medicines ibuprofen and heparinoid. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). When applied topically, it suppresses pain, relieves inflammation and swelling in the affected area. Ibalgin is suitable for the treatment of local manifestations of non-rheumatic and rheumatic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system. The heparininoid in Ibalgin prevents the formation of blood clots, accelerates the absorption of blood effusions, also reduces the formation of swelling and has an anti-inflammatory effect. When used topically, it relieves pain and inflammation and also treats inflammation of the veins and bruises. Ibalgin is used for topical treatment:

• pain and inflammation of muscles, tendons and joints (eg tennis elbow);
• for back pain relief;
• painful conditions in osteoarthritis (joint disease);
• painful inflammation of the joint capsule;
• inflammation of tendons and muscle attachments;
• rheumatic diseases.

Ibalgin is also used to treat post-traumatic conditions and the consequences of sports injuries such as:

• swelling and bruising;
• joint sprain;
• injuries to soft parts of the joints.

Ibalgin is used on the recommendation of a doctor:

• for the local treatment of inflammation of superficial veins and inflammation around the veins;
• to soften hardened skin in case of venous insufficiency.
