The drug causes a narrowing of the inflammation of the dilated vessels of the nasal mucosa, which leads to a reduction in the swelling of the mucosa and the release of mucus from the nose, cavities and the tube connecting the middle ear and pharynx (Eustachian tube). This allows free breathing. The healing effect usually starts within 5 minutes and lasts 4-6 hours.

The medicine is intended to relieve a stuffy nose in acute rhinitis, to recommend a doctor for ancillary treatment for sinusitis, Eustachian tube inflammation and ear infections. In addition, the drug may be administered by a physician to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa prior to a professional examination of the nose. It can be used by adolescents over 15 years of age and adults.
