SANORIN emulsion

The medicine contains the active ingredient naphazoline nitrate.

The medicine is used in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age:

• to relieve nasal congestion in acute rhinitis,
• on the recommendation of a doctor for adjuvant treatment for sinusitis, Eustachian tube inflammation and ear infections,
• to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa before a professional examination of the nose.

It causes the vessels of the nasal mucosa, which are dilated by inflammation, to narrow, which leads to a reduction in swelling of the mucosa and the release of mucus from the nose, paranasal sinuses and the tube connecting the middle ear and pharynx (Eustachian tube). This allows free breathing through the nose.  More at adc.sk
