The medicine contains O- (beta-hydroxyethyl) -rutosides, which belong to a group of medicines that have a protective effect on the blood vessels (called systemic vasoprotectants). It stabilizes the vascular wall, which leads to a reduction in its permeability and a consequent reduction in swelling. Is used:

• to relieve ankle swelling due to chronic venous insufficiency.
• in patients with varices (varicose veins) and other diseases of the veins of the lower extremities. The medicine reduces swelling and relieves its accompanying symptoms such as: burning sensation, tired, heavy, swollen painful and "restless" legs, paraesthesia (feeling tingling or tingling) and cramps. It is recommended that patients also use an elastic bandage (usually tightening stockings) for chronic venous insufficiency.
• in the case of hemorrhoids, the rectal mucosa reduces swelling and relieves symptoms such as itching, bleeding and wetting.
• to reduce capillary permeability in the retina of the eye of diabetic patients (diabetic retinopathy).
• to reduce swelling in the case of lymphedema (swelling due to impaired lymph flow).
