Diclobene 25 mg

The medicine belongs to a group called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The medicine serves to relieve pain, also relieves the symptoms of inflammation (swelling) and reduces fever.

The medicine is used for the short-term treatment of the following conditions:

• painful swelling or inflammation after injuries or operations
• painful menstruation
• painful spinal syndromes
• extra-articular rheumatism
• toothache and headache
• symptomatic treatment (pain, fever) in inflammatory diseases of the ear, nose or throat (eg tonsillitis (pharyngotonsillitis), ear (otitis)).

The medicine relieves symptoms of inflammation, pain, swelling and rheumatic problems, such as pain at rest and when moving, early stiffness and swelling of the joints, by blocking the synthesis of molecules (prostaglandins) responsible for inflammation, pain and fever. It does not affect the cause of inflammation and fever.
