• Melatonin helps to comply with the day and night cycle - it helps to shorten the time needed for sleep - a beneficial effect on sleep is achieved by consuming 1 mg of melatonin just before bedtime.
• In people exposed to jet lag, it contributes to alleviating subjective feelings of fatigue when traveling on a long journey by air - a beneficial effect on time lag is achieved by taking at least 0,5 mg of melatonin just before bedtime on the first day of travel and several days following arrival at destination.
