Vagisan HydroCream Cremolum

The medical device is a vaginal suppository that, when inserted, dissolves in the vagina, holds the existing vaginal secretions, and thus creates an emollient and nourishing cream. In this way, the problems caused by dryness in the vagina due to various causes (e.g., dryness, burning, itching, minor injuries and pain) can be alleviated.
The suppository contains the addition of lactic acid buffer and calcium lactate, which causes the cream formed in the vagina to have a pH (acid value) of about 4,5. Because the vaginal pH is normally 3,8 to 4,5, the lactic acid buffer system in the formulation contributes to maintaining a healthy vaginal environment.
It does not contain hormones and can therefore possibly be used in conjunction with hormone replacement therapy or alternated with vaginal creams or suppositories containing hormones (estrogens).
