STRAMONIUM

ACUTE FEVER CONDITIONS:

• High fever with a dry, hot body, later sweating that does not bring relief; with cephalic congestion and intense red face; dry and red throat.

NEUROLOGICAL INDICATIONS:

• Acute delirium, furious, erotic or accompanied by desom. The severity of the delirium speaks in favor of Stramonia.

• Febrile convulsions (preventive).

• Sunburn.

• Insomnia caused by nightmares.

• Delirium tremens (suitable supplement: Phosphorus, Lachesis, Hyoscyamus).

• Manic states and choreatic symptoms.

RESPIRATORY INDICATIONS:

• Laryngeal spasms.

• Severe cough with whooping cough.

• Asthmatic crises with severe spastic manifestations.

CHARACTERISTICS - FEELINGS: Almost complete absence of pain despite extremely severe symptoms (suitable supplement: Opium), except for headache; very severe pulsating headache with congestion; feeling dry in the throat.

MODALITIES: Deterioration in the dark; after sleep; in solitude; looking at shiny, dazzling objects. Scattered light improvement; company.

ACCOMPANYING CHARACTERISTICS: Absence of pain despite severity of symptoms (Opium); excitement at the sight of shiny objects or running water with throat cramps.
