IPECACUANHA

RESPIRATORY INDICATIONS:

• Seizure cough with vomiting.

• Whooping cough with gout leading to cyanosis (Cuprum: improvement when the patient drinks cold water).

• Acute bronchitis.

• Asthma accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

DIGESTIVE INDICATIONS:

• Dyspeptic difficulties with nausea, clean or slightly coated tongue, hypersalivation.

• Pregnancy nausea with hypersialoria.

• Diarrhea after eating unripe fruit or during the first frosts.

• Bleeding rectocolitis (supplement: Argentum nitricum).

CHARACTERISTICS - FEELINGS: Nausea; dyspnoea.

MODALITIES: Winter deterioration; moist heat; movement.

ACCOMPANYING CHARACTERISTICS: All pathological manifestations requiring Ipecacuanha (respiratory, digestive, bleeding) are accompanied by great nausea with clean or slightly coated tongue and increased salivation.
