The medicine is intended to quit smoking. This type of treatment is called nicotine replacement therapy. Lozenges can help to quit smoking either immediately or can help to gradually reduce smoking. Is used:

• as an aid in quitting smoking by replacing some of the nicotine absorbed by inhalation from cigarettes.
• to alleviate some of the unpleasant symptoms that smokers often experience when trying to quit smoking (such as irritability, weakness).
• to reduce the desire to smoke and thus help resist cigarettes.
