CUPRUM METALLICUM

SPLASS OF THE CROSS-STRIPED MUSCLE:

• Night cramps in the calves, especially in the elderly.

• Cramps in the calves or feet interrupt the coitus at the beginning (Graphites: if the cramps occur at the end of contact).

• For muscle cramps in lower limb arteritis (claudicatio intermitens), we prefer Cuprum arsenicosum.

• Spastic painful tics on the face, palpebral myoclonus.

• Singultus, pharyngeal spasm alleviated by drinking cold water.

• Convulsive precordial pain.

SMOOTH MUSCLE SPAZMUS:

• Abdominal colic with very severe tenesis.

• Vocal cramps, bronchospasm, asthmatic crises with severe dyspnoea presenting a characteristic modality of the drug.

• Whooping cough is a type of whooping cough.

COLLAR SYMPTOMS similar to cholera characterized by severe intestinal cramps.

CHARACTERISTICS - FEELINGS: Dominant feelings are spastic, convulsive pain. Plus: feeling dizzy when looking forward (impression of falling); an unpleasant feeling of pressure or stabbing from the epigastrium into the back.

MODALITIES: Deterioration by touch, pressure; cold; at night; in removing rash or sweating; during the month in Nova (China). Improvement by drinking cold water (cough, nausea); sweating.
Rhythm: The pains are periodic, appear and disappear suddenly.

ACCOMPANYING FEATURES: Pallor in the face and circles under the eyes alternately with cyanosis of the face and bluish lips (for cramps); intense asthenia (diarrhea); amenorrhea after a bath in cold water.
