HYALONE viscoelastic intraarticular solution

Medical device - a sterile, pyrogen-free, viscoelastic solution containing sodium hyaluronic acid, which was obtained by bacterial fermentation from a high molecular weight fraction.
Hyaluronic acid, a polysaccharide of the glycosaminoglycan type, is naturally present in many human tissues, such as cartilage and synovial fluid. It is continuously excreted into the joint cavity and forms the main component of synovial fluid, which gives it its characteristic viscosity and elasticity. These properties are necessary to provide lubrication and shock absorption in the joint, which is the main function of synovial fluid in protecting the cartilage and soft tissues of the joint against mechanical damage.
In traumatic and degenerative joint diseases, the synovial fluid shows an insufficient amount of hyaluronic acid and a decrease in viscosity, resulting in impaired joint function with symptoms of pain.
Extensive data from the literature show that intraarticular administration of hyaluronic acid can restore the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid, relieve pain and improve joint mobility.
