What is it used for?
A cuticle pusher is an accessory that every professional manicurist has in their kit. You can also use it at home. It is a metal tool with a long handle and two prongs. One of them is an accurate, small, correctly profiled knife for cutting the skin, the other - a special one with which you can remove the cuticle. Thanks to this multifunctionality, the cuticle pusher is used in several ways during the manicure. If your fingers are well moisturized, you can use the pry bar without prior preparation. However, it is best to soften the skin before starting the treatment - for example, in a warm hand bath in water with lemon juice and a few drops of castor oil or by reaching for a special preparation.
How to use it.
The first step is to carefully trim the cuticle with the sharp side of the grooved part. Place it on the border between the skin and the nail and gently press - the blade will cut off the protruding part of the cuticle. If you encounter problems, use the other side of the blade to move the cuticle slightly before cutting. When you get rid of the excessively long and overgrown skins, soften them again and remove their remains using the part on the other side of the blade. Finally, lubricate the treated hands or feet with olive oil.
