Nasometin 50 micrograms / dose

The medicine contains mometasone furoate, one of a group of medicines called corticosteroids. After injection into the nose, it can help reduce inflammation (swelling or irritation of the nose).
It is used in adults to treat the symptoms of hay fever (also called seasonal allergic rhinitis) after the doctor has been diagnosed with seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Adults (including the elderly): The usual recommended dose is two injections (50 micrograms / injection) into each nostril once a day (total dose 200 micrograms). Once the symptoms are under control, a reduced dose, one injection into each nostril (total dose of 100 micrograms) may be sufficient as maintenance treatment.
