Principle of operation.

Mission® PT/INR Test Strips, when used with the Mission® PT/INR Device, accurately and reliably measure prothrombin time (PT) and international normalized ratio (INR) values ​​in fresh capillary fingerstick blood or fresh whole venous blood samples with containing anticoagulant.
After inserting the test strip into the device, the blood sample is applied to a special place marked on the test strip. The device detects the presence of a sample on the strip and starts the test time. The membrane of the strip contains the reagents necessary to initiate the precipitation reaction. The time from the initial detection of the sample to the response to the fluorescent signal is used to calculate the prothrombin time and INR of the administered blood sample.
