Zovirax duo crm 1 x 2 g

The cream contains two medicines:

• aciclovir, which is an antiviral drug. Helps fight the virus Herpes simplexwhich causes cold sores
• hydrocortisone, which is a mildly effective steroid. Relieves inflammation associated with cold sores. 

The cream is used to treat the early signs and symptoms (such as burning, itching or redness) of cold sores on the lips and face in order to reduce the risk of herpes gradually turning into a blister. Even if the herpes has turned into a blister, the medicine shortens the healing process by about half a day to one day compared to a cream without medicines.
