BISACODYL-K

Bisacodyl is a stimulant laxative. It stimulates intestinal peristalsis and increases the amount of water and electrolytes excreted by the intestines. This makes it easier to empty the intestines. The effect of the tablet appears after 6 to 12 hours. Bisacodyl is recommended:
• to alleviate occasional constipation and irregularities in emptying,
• in chronic constipation, e.g. in case of prolonged physical inactivity or constipation related to hemorrhoids,
• to empty the intestines before surgery or diagnostic examination, such as radiological examination or colonoscopy.
