The medicine contains a laxative (laxative) called lactulose. By binding water to the large intestine, it softens the stool and facilitates emptying. It is not absorbed into the body.

The drug is used:

  • for the treatment of constipation (irregular, hard and dry stools)
  • for the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy (liver disease causing confusion, tremors, decreased level of consciousness, including coma).
