LACHESIS MUTUS

ACUTE INDICATIONS:

• Condition of severe infection and acute purulence: to be used concomitantly with antibiotics or to follow them in case of failure, if the basic characteristics of the drug are present: hypersensitivity to touch; jerky, jerky pain; a purple-violet hue of inflamed areas; sudden interruption of purulent discharge (sinusitis, otitis).

• Black blood haemorrhage: Lachesis is indicated if we see an improvement in pain or general condition by discharge: headache improved by nosebleeds, hemorrhoid pain improved by bleeding, dysmenorrhea alleviated by menstruation.

• Angina: developing from left to right or located on the left: the pharynx and tonsils are red to livid with a feeling of constriction, hating touch mainly on the neck. Difficult swallowing, especially of hot liquids.

CHRONIC INDICATIONS:

• Perimenopause: Mild menstrual bleeding with black blood. Menorrhagia and black blood metrorrhagia. Dysmenorrhea, left ovarian pain. By interrupting menstruation for several months, secondary disorders appear. Circulatory disorders: hot flushes; palpitations with fear or a feeling of precordial crushing that forces the garment to loosen; weakness with bluish and cold limbs; spontaneous ecchymoses; thermophobia (morbid fear of heat); arterial hypertension (Sulfur, Nux vomica, Ignatia ...). Occipital or supraorbital headache from congestion. Left migraines with throbbing pain aggravated by sun, heat, alcoholic beverages, improved by discharge (nosebleeds, menstruation). Mood and behavior changes: talkative upset and depression alternate; sighs (Ignatia); jealousy; distrust; insomnia; dreams of death, of funerals, of snakes.

• Alcoholism: In notorious alcoholics we find the already described physical appearance: red nose, leaked face. The stage of excitation is alternated by depression, jealousy, anger, sleep disorders. Digestive disorders are common: loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, excessive sensitivity of the abdomen to the slightest touch, enlarged painful liver (development to cirrhosis: Phosphorus). Hemorrhoids livid, very sensitive, contractile and throbbing pain is improved by bleeding.

• Other indications: Asthma: worsening during sleep and waking, in spring, in menopause. Hay fever. Acne rosacea. Slightly bleeding ulcerations sensitive to touch, bluish on the edges, fluid (varicose ulcers ...). Sunburn, sunburn. Fits of jealousy in young children at the birth of a sibling.

FEATURES - FEELINGS: Extreme sensitivity to minimal touch or compression: the patient will not wear any tight clothing, especially around the neck and waist; hypersensitivity to touch in inflammation; hypersensitivity to light and noise; feeling of pounding and pulsation - a sharp pulsating headache; jerking pain in hemorrhoids, contractions of the anal sphincter, constant urge without effect; pulsation and pounding in inflamed areas; feeling of pressure and burning on the scalp; the feeling that the eyes are pulled backwards; throat tightness; feeling of suffocation during sleep; feeling of a lump (neck, bladder, anus).

MODALITIES: Deterioration: delay, insufficiency or disappearance of physiological or pathological discharge; before menstruation; touch; sun and heat, hot bath, hot drink; in the spring; sleep and wake up. Improvement: onset of physiological discharge (menstruation) or pathological discharge (purulence, rhinitis, sinusitis); mild temperature and fresh air. Laterality: left-handedness or difficulty progressing from left to right (angina, sinusitis, ovarian inflammation) predominates.

ACCOMPANYING CHARACTERISTICS: Craving for alcohol; resistance to hot drinks and bread; head flushes (perimenopause); alternation of morbid eloquence and silence (especially in acute pathology More at adcc.sk
