COLOCYNTHIS

Digestive system:

• Spastic difficulties.

• Convulsive pain in the epigastrium causing vomiting (gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcers).

• Gallbladder colic.

• Severe intestinal colic, for example in infants, improved by lying on your stomach.

• Painful diarrhea with a strong urge to stool. Improvement in twisting or pain caused by agitation.

URINARY SYSTEM:

• Renal colic, especially left-sided, partially alleviated by pulling the limbs to the pelvis.

GENERAL DEVICE:

• Dysmenorrhea: painful menstruation with cramps relieved by twisting, heat and strong pressure. The indications are very similar to those of Magnesia phosphorica.

NEURALGY:

• facial neuralgia - pain more often left-sided, caused by a brief touch of the trigeminal nerve, unbearable.

• paroxysmal, the patient is restless and screams in pain, relieved by heat or strong pressure at the beginning of the problem.

• Sciatica or forearm neuralgia: especially left-sided pain, acute, animal or shooting, with convulsions, are relieved by pulling the limb to the pelvis, heat, movement, strong pressure and exacerbated by extension, cold, calm, light touch.

CHARACTERISTICS - FEELINGS: Severe spasmodic paroxysmal or shooting and unbearable pain, the patient has no rest for a while and screams for pain; sometimes the feeling of being gripped by a "steel wire".

MODALITIES: Worsening of anger or indignation; after an injuring insult; at rest. Improvement by strong pressure on the painful area; in a forward bend, by twisting into a ball or by bending the limb; heat; movement. Laterality: predominantly left (sciatica).

ACCOMPANYING CHARACTERISTICS: Extreme restlessness and irritability with pain; aversion to food.
