MAGNEROT 500 mg

The medicine contains the mineral element magnesium.

 The drug is used:

• in disorders of muscle and heart activity caused by a lack of magnesium, such as muscle spasms, tetany (muscle twitches) or angina pectoris (chest pain caused by a temporary lack of blood flow to the heart);
• with a lack of magnesium as a result of unilateral nutrition or the use of various drugs (contraception, drugs that increase the production and excretion of urine or laxatives);
• with alcoholism or insufficient compensation of the increased need for magnesium (during breastfeeding or during stress);
• during pregnancy (at risk of premature birth, preeclampsia);
• in certain heart rhythm disorders, mainly caused by an overdose of digitalis glycosides (medicines for the treatment of heart diseases) and in atherosclerosis (disease of blood vessels).
