What is aerosol therapy?
Aerosol therapy is a method that plays an increasingly important role in the treatment of numerous diseases of the nose, throat, bronchi and lungs, as it enables the direct administration of drugs into the respiratory system. An aerosol is a suspension of solid particles and/or liquid droplets that enter the respiratory tract through the mouth and nose and come into contact with the larynx, throat, trachea and finally reach the lungs. Here they penetrate the bronchial mucosa and alveoli according to the precise laws of kinetics, such as inertia, gravity and diffusion. The method and location of these particles depends on their size (MMAD).

More than 50 years of experience have allowed the Flaem brand to create this innovative, patented method of performing aerosol treatments targeting the patient's airways for the treatment of respiratory diseases. A special feature of the RF9 nebulizer is the ability to change the size of the MMAD particles in four ways. RF9 has a system that allows you to select the desired particle size.

The nebulizer allows you to easily change the particle size by turning the RF9 cover.
4 modes of nebulization operation:
-particles larger than 7 µm (nebulizer in position 0) for the upper respiratory tract, high nebulization speed
- particles larger than 5 µm (nebulizer in position 1) for treatment of the tracheobronchial area
-particles between 3 and 4 µm (nebulizer in position 2) for bronchial treatment
-particles between 2 and 3 µm (nebulizer in position 3), the drug reaches the alveoli.
Optimized drug delivery and reduced dispersion in an innovative 4N or inhaler - the valve system optimizes drug delivery to the patient and reduces drug dispersion.
Easy maintenance, anti-allergic material.
The sprayer is easy to clean, all components can be disassembled and washed. The Flaem 4Neb device and accessories are made of anti-allergic materials without phthalates and BPA, tested in accordance with the European standard EN 10993-1 "Biological evaluation of medical devices" and the European directive 93/42 / EEC on medical devices.
Can be used with a Soft Touch mask.
The RF9 nebulizer can be used with a mouthpiece, Soft Touch mask for adults and children, or silicone masks for newborns.
Care and maintenance.
The nebulizer and accessories should be replaced every 6 months if used frequently to always ensure maximum therapeutic effect. The RF9 nebulizer and accessories can be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized.
