Blood glucose measurement.
Measurement of glucose in capillary blood from the whole finger, hand or forearm by laypersons and medical personnel.
Measurement of glucose in venous or arterial blood only by medical personnel.
For in vitro diagnostic use only.
TEST FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLE.
The blood sample is sucked into the reaction zone of the strip by capillary action. When blood glucose reacts with a reagent on the electrodes, the meter detects a current and supplies a potential. The current is then converted to an equivalent blood glucose value.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF STRIPS.
Glucose dehydrogenase (GDH-FAD) ?1,5 ??unit (microorganism).
Other components (buffer solution, mediator, surfactant, stabilizer, etc.) ? 0,2 mg
TEST RESULTS.
Measuring range: 20-600 mg/dl (1,1-33,3 mmol/l)
Normal glucose level before breakfast: 70-105 mg/dl (3,9-5,8 mmol/l) 1 or 2 hours
After meal: <120-160 mg/dl (6,7-8,9 mmol/l) (the range is only a reference.)
If "lo" is displayed, your blood glucose may be below 20 mg/dL (1,1 mmol/L).
If "Hi" is displayed, the blood glucose level may exceed 600 mg/dL (33,3 mmol/L).
ACCURACY.
Accuracy of glucose measurements was performed on fingerstick blood and compared to reference instrument calibrators that were referenced to the NIST SRM 917 standard.
The product meets the requirements of EN ISO 15197.
